HELLO ALL!!!
Rampage has been rocking El Paso like a March windstorm throughout the whole year of 2011. We're just as tight as ever and we're still covering the classic rock styles of Grand Funk, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple and Journey, to the new rock styling’s of Pearl Jam, Tantric, Brother Cain, Three Days Grace, Godsmack and newer rock of bands like Shinedown and Adelita's Way.

The group is still comprised of four musicians for the last 3 to 8.5 years. We are extremely experienced in the music styles described above, and have extensive experience playing the local club scene. For band bio's, see "THE BAND" link above.
Rampage recently performed in Dallas, Texas at a club called, "The Rockin' Parodise". What a happening place! Click here to ready more about our road trip.
Unfortunately for most of the bands here in El Paso, live music is not something the locals really support. Case in point, Big Al's on Airway Blvd., has now cancelled all live music for all bands due to financial problems. |
More and more bands are playing to more and more empty venues. It's incredible to believe that the level of entertainment has stooped so low that our local partiers are more entertained by some joker spinning a record than to enjoy a person or band who actually plays a musical instrument. People are more content to just eat and leave and couldn't care less whether there is a live band performing or not. Or that patrons and bar owners would rather be entertained by Karioke machines to listen to wannabe, half-baked singers butcher great songs! "What's happening to our live musical entertainment on weekends here in El Paso?"
What is more embarrasing is that 3 young men stationed at Ft. Bliss came into Big Al's because they love to listen to live music. These young soldiers came from different parts of the country and were just totally amazed that the bars here in El Paso are as dead as they are. Live music in their part of the country is alive and thriving with standing room only crowds in any bar you walk into where there is a live band performing. These guys were totally dumfounded by the lack of people in attending or even interested in live music.
Please folks, we need to remember that there are live bands performing around the city and we musicians need your support. If we start loosing your support, live music will go the same way local college graduates. Musicians will be forced to leave El Paso to find places to play where live music is appreciated and there are good places to perform.
Help us all out here by attending live music performances at our local venues and helping to keep local musicians playing!
